Sigirya Tours

Sigiriya, the stunning 'Lion rock' adventure, is majestically beautiful green natural location. It is one of Sri Lanka's prominent destinations to be explored. This was designed by Full Kasyapa, a son of Full Dhatusena, by an advancement consort. In 473 AD, Full Dhatusena was overthrown and walled in, in survival by Kasyapa. Mogallana, Dhatusena's son by the true king left to Indian, vowing retribution.

Kasyapa worrying an attack designed this impregnable adventure at Sigiriya. When the attack lastly came in 491, Kasyapa rode out to challenge in his war hippo. In an attempt to out-flank his half-brother, Kasyapa took a wrong turn, where his hippo got cornered in the mud. His troops, thinking Kasyapa was retreating left breaking him, and he took his own life. Sigiriya later became a monastic sanctuary, but gradually dropped into shabby.

Water Gardens
The magnificently and ornately designed water home gardens contain a complicated system of subterranean water submission system, which provides water to the Noble bathrooms, the many little moated Hawaiian islands. A fantastic view of the Gardens could be had from almost up the diamond.

Frescoes - The Sigiriya Damsels
A vast collection of the diamond of frescoes has displayed on the absolute diamond exhibition. The 'Heavenly Maidens' are parallel in style to the work of Ajantha. Some of them are still in mazingly good. Only 22 out of an approximated 500 images now continue to be. Expensive images are prohibited at this site.

The Reflection Walls with Graffiti
Beyond the fresco collection, Reflection Walls with Graffiti is the absolute experience of the diamond, and is included by a 3m high wall. This wall was included with a mirror-smooth glaze, in which visitors over 1000 years ago famous their thoughts of the women in the collection above. The graffiti was mostly written between the 7th and Eleventh Millennium AD.

Lion Platform
To the South end of the diamond, a big components lion sat at the end of the diamond, and the final incline to the peak was between the elephant’s feet and into its mouth! Today the lion has vanished, only the feet and the first actions are noticeable. This is one of the vast platform on which two statues are situated originating the past history records.

The Summit
Covering an area of around 1.6 hectares, the design, structure and amazing landscape is recommended to Sigiriya that would have been more of a royal advancement of enjoyment than an adventure. A lake scooped out of strong diamond gauging 27m x 21m, looks like a present day beach damages area. A sleek piece of smooth diamond, often called the leaders diamond throne, the growing sun.
