History
The ancient history of Bhubaneswar has been following last 2000 years ago when the city was named after the ‘Lord of three worlds’ Tribhuvaneshwar. This is a holy town that has acclaimed to have been the hot seat of the Hindu rulers between the 7th and 13th century.
In the 15th century, this city was slaved under the Mughals rule and it came to limelight only in 1936. After independence, the city was declared as a part of Orissa in 1947 named as the capital of Orissa on 13th April 1948.

Parashurameswar Temple
Parashurameswar Temple is a tiny in size but look marvelous. It is a well decorated shrine of Lord Shiva that is acclaimed to be one of the oldest temples in Bhubaneswar and is built in 650 A. D. this temple has ancient sculptures of animals and adored with floral designs of of Lord Ganesh, Lord Shiva, Goddess Parvati, Lord Muruga and other Hindu Gods.
