History
It has a legendary past that depicts our Indian ancient take which dates back to the early years of the 12th century. As a token of gratitude, the king of this town has constructed a town with the assistance of Kempe Gowda and named it as Benda Kalooru, the meaning of which is baked beans. After the rule of the Vijayanagara Empire, Bangalore had been ruled over by so many dynasties. In 1759, Haider Ali rose to the thrown of Mysore and Bangalore gained eminence under the rule of his son Tipu Sultan. In the fourth Anglo Mysore war, he is defeated in the year 1799. In the same year they shifted the place of resident of Mysore State to Bangalore and later in 1831, that Bangalore has been officially announced as the capital of the Mysore State. It was continued to be the same till the birth of a new state named as Karnataka.

Tipu Sultan's Palace

The complete construction of the Palace was completed in the year 1791 in ten years to plan and construct the palace. It is a twin storied flowery wooden structure.
